Hurt (Have Your Tomorrows) is our official 2023 charity partner

We’re delighted to announce our new 2023 charity partner, HURT (Have Your Tomorrows).

HURT is a voluntary organisation offering a holistic approach to addiction recovery and family support. The unique drop-in centre based in Derry/Londonderry provides a range of essential services, including dedicated programmes, counselling and reflexology to individuals and families affected by addiction.

Announcing the news, Colin Mullan, Managing Director of Find Insurance NI said: “We are thrilled to be working with HURT as our official 2023 charity partner. The charity provides such an important facility and fundamental service in the North West area for those who need it the most. The support and intervention work being done behind the scenes is incredible.

“As a local company, we are committed to supporting local services and look forward to making a positive contribution to HURT’s work within the community. Our team will take part in various fundraising activities throughout the year, including working in partnership to launch HURT’s new charity shop in the city centre, ‘The Quirky Corner.’

Speaking about the new charity partnership, Leanne Doherty, Business Development & Social Enterprise Manager at HURT said: “We are beyond grateful that Find Insurance NI have chosen us as their charity partner. We look forward to working together to make a difference and maximise our support services across the region. To date, over 4,000 service users and family members have accessed HURT services to address addiction issues.

“We would like to thank the team for their commitment to raising awareness and funds for HURT this year. We offer our services for free, so we heavily rely on fundraising initiatives as our main income which goes directly to help us manage our services.”

HURT was founded by local woman Sadie O Reilly after the death of her only son in 1999 as a result of an accidental heroin overdose. The charity now employs 15 staff, with a further 7 sessional workers providing counselling and therapeutic interventions.
